Don't worry, I haven't been neglecting my blog. I've had the flu for the past couple of weeks so everything has gone on hold. Should be back in just a few days!
In the meantime, my new wedding invitation plates have arrived and I'll be printing those shortly. I'm also working on a couple of Mother's Day gifts, which I'll post photos of when they're completed.

Hello, I am brand new to letterpress printing, my first Kelsey 5x8 was just delivered last week! My endeavor into letterpress is similar to yours, my goal to make my sister's wedding invitations for may 09. I don't however have any design background, simply a creative person that loves art. So I go into this without knowing much and had a few questions for you. In your wedding invitations, you have the background design and the text on top. Do you simply print the design first, then set it up again and print the text over top of it? What do you recommend for plate making? I have a few images I'm considering but am not sure what to do next. Also, for paper I'm trying to be economical, will heavy card stock do the job? Thanks I would so appreciate any advice. I just found your blog so started from the beginning and it has been so helpful and fun to read through...your work is lovely.
thanks, Katie
